The fear has won. The oligarchy increases it's stranglehold on our culture and the decline of the American Empire accelerates as it did fr the Roman Empire as the wealthiest destroyed the balance of power by letting greed reach beyond controllable limits. Whether it is poverty, starvation, climate, ideology, or something else that propels fear to violent action, it is closer than ever before. Our leaders will fiddle as we burn.
I think the title of this entry describes what a lot of people are going through right now in this country. Maybe it will wake us up in time to save ourselves from the self-destructive course we've been set on for so long. Maybe we will grow up as a species and become aware of how self-destructive defending our ignorance and our fear really is. Maybe not.
There is an ugly hatred in the human heart.
Mat it not be our final choice.
