Which can also easily be stated Fun Evenings, Restless Days, Lonely Nights, but who's counting? And in case it matters(yes, I have decided in the passive voice that starting sentences with and is ok and yes, I have decided that the passive voice is ok and yes, I taunt the grammar police with pudding and elderberries, but at least I have trade3d elipses for periods... at least outside of perenthetic asides... and yes, I will not give up the parenthetic asides cuz that is the babbler's playground equipment... or something like that :P and yes, I could also mean raspberries), most weekend days are fun and full of softball though not as much fun as they would be if I had friends off the field like my card playing friends but active and fun nonetheless so not every day is lonely.
Upon returning tonight (and yes, I will continue to allow run on sentences as they may occur and also the chronology can be out of psyche because time is relative in my mind and in these babbles so with a tip of the undertaker's hat to Mr. Cooper, hope it doesn't scare ya :P and sometimes I will allow the silliness to flow freely too), I found an unknown large work truck with palm beach county plates and a trailer attached parker next to the garage with the trailer next to where I park (and on the trailer was a huge object that, in the dark, looked like a church or store sign) and hopefully they will not hit my car when they back out in the morning. There was also an unknown pick up truck parked on the street in front of the house. Maybe the neighbors have guests, though work trucks are an odd way to visit friends and they are blocking where Curly's mother backs out (where she hit my car), but she is gone for the weekend so that's ok I guess. Just a little odd to find work trucks and a trailer parked overnight around the house.
Meanwhile, I enjoyed a brief morning before the previous entry and then drove Curly's mom to Curly's house and then drove them both to the airport because she was going out of state to visit her other son for the weekend and Curly went into the terminal to see her off because she has a fear of flying and gets anxiety attacks but she was ok enough to leave at the screening area and not escort her to the gate like he was prepared to do. I spent the afternoon at Dave's doing two loads of laundry and taking a shower and eating lunch (the leftover sausages I bought for this past Tuesday night's card game). After that we drove to Excel and the Commodore's place and played Thursday night bridge and I did pretty well for my third time playing coming in second in points for the night only a hundred points behind the Commodore who is the best player among us (Curly is second but must have been distracted tonight). Excel bought dinner (beef filet, potatoes, and squash) and we all cooked it and it was delicious. She also bought a lot of yummy dessert.
I drove Curly home and then drove myself home which was another long drive so I put more than a hundred miles on the car today (google estimated more than 3 hours drive time without traffic and there was plenty of traffic but it didn't seem that long with passengers cuz the conversation was good) because Curly and Excel and the Commodore and I live in three corner suburbs of the greater metro area, but it was the least I could do to pay back Curly and give him some rest and he needed rest as he was, as I believe I mentioned, feeling run down and sick. He is feeling better though should still take another day to rest since he is planning on working some of this weekend.
And that brings us to now, the night, restless and lonely. More restless than it ought to be because Excel buys me Code Red and chocolate chip cookies and ice cream and I did not use any will power to resist tonight. I must get back to exercise or else be a killjoy because these card nights are majot pig-out on high calori snack nights. Fact is, Curly and I ought to lose about thirty pounds each and all but two of the regular card players are much (much) more overweight than we are. So I am going on record here and now to remind us that both of us must help each other resist the snacking and start bringing veggies and water more often.
I also must remember to bring my blood pressure medication wherever I go because I have been way off the schedule of twice a day that I am supposed to be on and that is definitely not good for the health of the body and even can be life threatening when combined with the diet so... someone save my life tonight (singing).
I know, it's my life and it's up to me to do the saving. Lonelier that way, ya know? :}
So Curly is going to wake up tomorrow whenever he wakes up and decide whether he is coming here to finished the plumbing job and I encouraged him to do it only if he feels up to it and wakes early enough to finish it in one day cuz I don't want the walls to be opened more with more dust another week and especially don't think that's fair in the other tenet's daughter's bedroom where a hole must be made to cut and re-place pipes. He feels the same but still wants to get the job done so we shall see what he decides tomorrow.
That's life for now, how is yours? :)
